Jerry Risse, President

"It all begins with a genuine desire to serve our
customers. We use every opportunity to find out what we can do to help them be
more successful. Then we proceed to implement changes internally that will
address their needs."
Jerry is responsible for the marketing and estimating side
of business development. He has been involved in the industry since 1956. After
receiving his bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from the
University of California at Berkeley in 1961, Jerry joined the Risse team on a
full-time basis.
He has been instrumental in growing the company into one of
the largest and most organized mechanical contracting firms in the area. The
ability to conceptualize systems and develop early budgets are among his
strongest skills. His creativity provides the customer with a product that
combines quality with economy of design.
Throughout his career, Jerry has been an active member of a
number of trade organizations, including:
- Associated Builders and Contractors
- American Subcontractors Association
- Plumbing, Heating and Cooling Contractors
His community involvement includes being a Boy Scout
leader, School Parents Association president, school board chairman, a member
of his church building committee, and construction foreman with Young Life in
Mexico.

Gary Risse, Vice President of
Operations
"Pre-planning and looking at detail was instilled in me
by my father long ago when he told me the one time you don't check the
architectural dimensions is the one time they will be wrong. We have applied
his wisdom to all areas of our operation and have built our methods and
procedures around it. As we grow, it is rewarding to see others make this
simple concept a guideline for their decisions."
Gary is a third generation Risse who is continuing the
traditions and reputation of Risse Mechanical. In high school and college, he
learned the basics of the industry by working summers and part-time around the
warehouse and field sites.
His full-time career began in 1973 and he quickly advanced
to manager of the fabrication department. Since that time, the company's
expansion has allowed him to hold and oversee many positions. He has been
directly involved as equipment manager, purchasing clerk, estimator, designer,
detailer, personnel manager, office manager, superintendent and project
manager.
In his current position, Gary is responsible for overall
customer satisfaction, realized through proper organization of project
management, accounting, design, human resources and office management.
Gary's dedication to the industry and community is
evidenced by his involvement in the following:
- Voted 1997 Contractor of the Year by the California
Plumbing Heating and Cooling Contractors Association
- Former president and board member of the Sacramento
Valley PHCC Association
- Former director of communications and marketing of the
California PHCC Association
- Former director of education of the California PHCC
Association
